Abstract:
Provided is a hydrogenation catalyst containing a carrier and an active metal supported on the carrier, wherein: the active metal contains Pt and Pd; and, in an infrared absorption spectrum obtained by means of CO adsorption IR measurement, the ratio (S2/S1) of the peak area S2 at 2000-2130 cm-1 to the peak area S1 at 1720-2000 cm-1 is 0.7 or higher.
