Abstract:
Provided are: a hydrophilization treatment agent capable of forming a hydrophilic film having high hydrophilicity sustainability and excellent drainability; a hydrophilic film formation method using the hydrophilization treatment agent; and a hydrophilic film formed by the hydrophilic film formation method. This hydrophilization treatment agent for forming a hydrophilic film on the surface of a metal base material contains a hydrophilic resin and cross-linking particles, wherein, as the hydrophilic resin, a specific (meth)acrylic resin, a polyvinyl alcohol, and a polyalkylene ether resin having a specific molecular weight are contained, and the mixing proportion of each component is adjusted within a specific range.
