Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a hydrophobic fabric with high mechanical stability and serviceability and a preparation method therefor. The preparation method comprises: mixing a raw cotton fabric, water, sodium sulfite, soap flakes and sodium hydroxide, then boiling same, and washing same with water; then, padding the fabric in a vinyl acetate-acrylate emulsion, and drying same to obtain a treated fabric; and fixing the fabric on a receiving drum by means of a double-faced adhesive tape, subjecting same to microsphere coating finishing by means of electrostatic spraying, taking down the fabric, drying same, and subjecting same to cross-linking, so as to obtain a hydrophobic fabric with high mechanical stability and serviceability. The whiteness of raw cotton is 88.3%, and the whiteness of the finished cotton fabric is 88.1%, the whiteness being almost unchanged before and after the finishing. It is worth mentioning that the air permeability of the cotton fabric before and after the finishing is 304.744 mm/s and 304.534 mm/s, respectively, and spraying finishing hardly affects the air permeability of the fabric, which technical effect cannot be achieved by existing hydrophobic coating layers.
