Title:
HYDROTREATING CATALYST FOR HYDROCARBON OIL, PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND HYDROTREATING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/189982
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a hydrotreating catalyst for hydrocarbon oils which has high desulfurization activity, high wear endurance, and high compressive strength; and a process for producing the hydrotreating catalyst. [Solution] The hydrotreating catalyst includes an alumina-phosphorus support, wherein the support contains phosphorus in an amount of 0.5-2.0 mass% in terms of oxide amount, and at least one metal and at least one metal respectively belonging to Group 6A and Group 8 of the periodic table have been fixed to the support. The hydrotreating catalyst has a specific surface area of 150 m2/g or larger and a total pore volume, as determined by a mercury intrusion method, of 0.40-0.75 ml/g, gives, through the examination by a mercury intrusion method, a Log differential pore volume distribution that has two maximal peaks in the pore diameter range of 6-13 nm, and has a wear endurance of 0.5% or less and a compressive strength of 15 N/mm or higher. The support is produced, for example, from a hydrate obtained by adding phosphorus to an alumina hydrate obtained using a liquid mixture of two solutions which are an acidic aqueous aluminum salt solution and a basic aqueous aluminum salt solution.
