The present invention relates to an identity authentication method, comprising the following steps: obtaining an identity card image, a face visible light image, and a face near-infrared light image of a person to be authenticated; inputting the identity card image, the face visible light image, and the face near-infrared light image into a Triplets CNN model which is trained in advance, and extracting the convolution features of the identity card image, the face visible light image, and the face near-infrared light image to obtain corresponding feature vectors; calculating the similarity between any two of the identity card image, the face visible light image, and the face near-infrared light image separately according to the feature vectors; and determining the consistency among the identity card image, the face visible light image, and the face near-infrared light image according to the similarity, and outputting an identity authentication result. In the present invention, the Triplets and the deep convolutional neural network (CNN) model are effectively combined, so that the robustness of identity authentication can be effectively improved, and thus the accuracy of identity authentication is increased.
