Abstract:
An igniter for inflator, and its production process, in which a heating element is brought into contact with an initiating material surely without damaging the heating element generating heat with an ignition current and the production process can be simplified. The process for producing the igniter for an inflator comprises a step for producing slurry of initiating material formed by dispersing a fuel component and an oxidizing agent component into a solvent, a step for dripping the slurry of initiating material onto the heating element heated by an ignition current of a planar header member, and a step for drying the dripped slurry of initiating material.
