Abstract:
This reflection-type illuminating device (1) using laser beams is provided with: laser elements (83) for emitting laser beams; optical fibers (11) for transmitting the laser beams emitted from the laser element (83); a fluorescent body layer (40) which converts the wavelength of beams incident on one surface thereof and outputs light from said one surface; and an optical component (60) which allows light resulting from reflecting the laser beams having transmitted through the optical fibers (11) to enter said one surface of the fluorescent body layer (40), wherein, regarding an intensity distribution of the light incident on the one surface of the fluorescent body layer (40), the central portion of the surface is less dense.
