The present invention addresses the problem of providing a novel illumination device in which an illumination fixture lens serves as a virtual light emission unit and sways like a balancing doll.　A means for solving the problem is to provide an illumination device provided with an illumination fixture lens unit and a stand member for arranging the illumination fixture lens unit. The illumination fixture lens unit has an illumination fixture lens that is formed with a protrusion for enabling point support of the entire illumination fixture lens unit, the center of gravity of the illumination fixture lens unit being positioned substantially coaxially with the protrusion and below the protrusion. The stand member has: an enclosure having an opening; and, a translucent arrangement part, arranged in the enclosure, for enabling arrangement of the protrusion. The stand member is capable of irradiating light in the direction of the opening through the translucent arrangement part, the surface of the translucent arrangement part on which the protrusion is arranged being formed in a concave shape.
