Abstract:
An illumination device (1a) comprises: a plurality of laser light sources (11a-11d) that emit a plurality of laser beams (La-Ld), respectively; a control unit (21) that controls the amounts of the laser beams emitted by the plurality of laser light sources (11a-11d); a display surface (14, 17) to which the plurality of laser beams (La-Ld) are emitted, and causes the plurality of emitted laser beams (La-Ld) to diffuse; and optical components (12a-12d, 13a-13d) that are provided on optical paths of the plurality of laser beams (La-Ld) between the plurality of laser light sources (11a-11d) and the display surface (14), and that control a plurality of irradiation ranges (16a-16d) on the display surface (14) of the plurality of laser beams (La-Ld). This self-luminous sign has the illumination device (1a).
