Abstract:
An illumination device having: a light-guide body which forms a circumferential shape provided with a light incidence part in one section thereof, and the entirety of which is lit by propagating the incident light; and a diffusion cover for diffusing the light produced by the light-guide body, and positioned with the light-guide body interposed therebetween on the side of the incidence part opposite the light source. The diffusion cover is equipped with a plate-shaped base section for covering the incidence-part side of the light-guide body, and a circular section for covering the other parts of the light-guide body, and having the outer-circumferential section thereof integrally formed with the plate-shaped base section.
