Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to form a clear illuminated region in which blurring is suppressed, and to vary the modes of the illuminated region, such as position, shape, and size, using a simple configuration. Diverging light (L110) from a point light source (110) is shaped by means of a collimating optical system (120) and irradiated onto a hologram element (130). The point light source (110) is disposed at a forward focal point position of the collimating optical system (120). Accordingly, emerging light (L120) from the collimating optical system (120) is irradiated onto the hologram element (130) as parallel light, and diffraction light (L130) from the hologram element (130) forms an illuminated region (150) at a predetermined position on an illuminated plane. A light scan unit (140) which rotates about a predetermined rotating axis (r) is disposed between the point light source (110) and the collimating optical system (120). The light scan unit (140) scans the collimating optical system (120) with incident light (L140). The scan changes the angle of incidence of the parallel light (L120) incident on the hologram element (130), whereby the mode of the illuminated region (150) is changed.
