Abstract:
This illumination device, which reproduces the sky visible through a window, realizes a smaller size and simpler structure, and reproduces a more natural scene without limits in terms of placement location or number. An illumination device (200) according to the present disclosure is characterized by comprising: a light source (1); a diffuser (100) having a scattering structure (e.g., particles 111) that scatters incident light, the diffuser having at least one light incident surface (101a), a first light emitting surface (101b) where first emitted light (L1) including scattered light generated by the scattering structure is emitted, and a second light emitting surface (101c) where second emitted light (L2) differing from the first emitted light is emitted; a sunshine forming part (3) that has a light transmissive member and is provided to at least one location around the diffuser; and a fold-back portion (2) that guides the second emitted light toward the sunshine forming part.
