Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an illumination system that can achieve more versatile illumination. In this illumination system (101), a first light guide plate (1) guides first light, which is emitted from a first light source module (3) and incident onto a first incident end face (13), and causes the first light to be emitted from a first main surface (11) as first illumination light (L1). A second light guide plate (2) has a third main surface (21) facing a second main surface (12). The second light guide plate (2) guides second light, which is emitted from a second light source module (4) and incident onto a second incident end face (23), and causes the second light to be emitted from a fourth main surface (22) as second illumination light (L2). A reflective member (5) is disposed between the second main surface (12) of the first light guide plate (1) and the third main surface (21) of the second light guide plate (2), and reflects visible light. A first control unit controls the first light source module (3). A second control unit controls the second light source module (4).
