Abstract:
Disclosed is an AI-decoding device according to an embodiment, the device comprising: a memory; and a processor, wherein the processor: acquires AI data related to AI downscaling of an original image and image data generated as a result of coding a first image; acquires a second image corresponding to the first image by decoding the image data; on the basis of the AI data, determines a resolution ratio of a horizontal direction and a resolution ratio of a vertical direction between the original image and the first image; via DNN for upscaling, acquires a third image having a resolution increased in at least one of a horizontal direction and a vertical direction from the second image, wherein the resolution ratio of the horizontal direction and the resolution ratio of the vertical direction are determined to be different values.
