Abstract:
The present invention provides an image analysis method for sensing a moving ball, and a sensing device using same, in which, in analyzing an image in order to sense a moving ball in a sport using a ball, an entire image is not analyzed, but an analysis target region, which is a partial region, is set, and a ball is detected within the set analysis target region, and the physical quantity associated with the movement of the ball is calculated, the analysis target region being set such that, with respect to the location of the ball detected in the image currently being analyzed, the location where the ball is to appear in the next image to be analyzed is included in the analysis target region, and thus the image processing speed is rapidly increased by carrying out image analysis on each acquired image by applying, to the current image, the analysis target region that was set immediately before.
