Abstract:
A CPU performs a polyp candidate detecting processing at step S4 so as to process
a thinning image (25) for each label value, superposes the processing results
on a polyp candidate image (26), and creates a poly candidate labeling image where
the polyp candidate edges are labeled. The polyp candidate labeling image created
by superposing the polyp candidate image (26) on an original imago (22) is displayed
on a display. Thus, the positions of the polyp candidates on the image can be easily
recognized, and the detection accuracy of the luminal abnormal tissue can be
improved.
