Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to shorten the time required for calibration between gains in a level adjusting circuit. The level adjusting circuit performs level adjustment of analog signals output to vertical signal lines corresponding to each column of a pixel array, using either of mutually different first and second gains. An analog to digital converter converts the level-adjusted analog signals to digital signals. A test signal generating unit generates mutually different first and second test signals. A gain ratio acquiring unit supplies the first test signal to one of the vertical signal lines, and simultaneously supplies the second test signal to another of the other vertical signal lines, and acquires the gain ratio between the first gain and the second gain of the level adjusting circuit.
