Abstract:
Provided are an image capturing device and an image capturing method that make it easier to record a video in an extraction range while moving the extraction range in an angle of view. The image capturing device according to the present invention is provided with: an image sensor that captures a reference video which is a moving image; a housing that houses the image sensor; a detection unit for detecting movement of the housing; and a processor. The processor executes: setting processing for setting, in an angle of view when capturing the reference video, an extraction range smaller than the angle of view; extraction processing for extracting an extraction video in the extraction range from the reference video; moving processing for moving the extraction range in the angle of view with time in accordance with the movement detected by the detection unit; and recording processing for recording, on a recording medium, the extraction video while the extraction range is being moved by the moving processing.
