Abstract:
This image capturing device (100) is provided with an optical system (110), an image capturing element (140), an image processing unit (160), an input unit (210) and a control unit (180). The optical system (110) includes a focusing lens. The image capturing element (140) generates an image signal from optical information input by way of the optical system (110). The image processing unit (160) subjects the image signal generated by the image capturing element (140) to prescribed processing, and generates moving image data including a plurality of frame images. The input unit (210) receives an input of a specified region of an image, as specified by a user. The control unit (180) causes the image processing unit (160) to generate moving image data, while causing the focus position of the optical system (110) to move, and extracts a still image in which the specified region is in focus, from among the plurality of frame images included in the moving image data.
