Abstract:
This image capturing device is provided with: a photoelectric conversion unit; a protection member provided on a light incident side of the photoelectric conversion unit; a substrate that faces the protection member with the photoelectric conversion unit therebetween, and has a first surface on the photoelectric conversion unit side and a second surface opposite to the first surface; a rewiring layer provided on a selective region of the second surface of the substrate; and a protection resin layer provided on the second surface of the substrate, wherein the second surface of the substrate has: an external terminal connection region exposed from the protection resin layer; and a stress relaxation region exposed from the protection resin layer and disposed at a different position from the external terminal connection region.
