Abstract:

This image capturing device has: an image capturing element for capturing an image of a subject and outputting a signal, said image being formed by an optical system having an aperture; a display part for displaying an image that is formed on the basis of the signal; an operation part operated to instruct the image capturing element to perform image capturing; a calculation part for calculating a first aperture value on the basis of the signal, the first aperture value being the aperture value of the image capturing performed on the basis of the operation of the operation part; a control part which, on the basis of the difference between the first aperture value and a second aperture value that is an aperture value for image capturing for through-image display in which the signal-based image repeatedly captured by the image capturing element is displayed on the display part, performs a control that changes the second aperture value on the basis of the first aperture value, and a control that does not change the second aperture value.
