Abstract:
A picture decoding method performed by a decoding apparatus according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: obtaining, from a bitstream, information on an adaptive motion vector resolution (AMVR) flag indicating whether to apply an AMVR mode and motion prediction information including information on an AMVR mode flag indicating a type of the AMVR mode; deriving a motion vector for a current block on the basis of the value of the AMVR mode flag when the value of the AMVR flag is 1; refining the derived motion vector; deriving prediction samples for the current block on the basis of the refined motion vector; and generating reconstruction samples for the current block on the basis of the derived prediction samples.
