Abstract:
A spatial optical modulating element is moved in a predetermined scanning direction relatively to a drawing surface, frame data is sequentially inputted into the spatial optical modulating element simultaneously with the movement in the scanning direction, and a group of drawing points are formed in time series to form an image composed of many drawing points on the drawing surface. Frame data used to form the image is created at a higher speed. Dawning point data is stored in storage means from which the stored drawing point data can be sequentially read in the direction where the addresses are continuous in such a way that the direction where the addresses are continuous agrees with the array direction where the drawing point data corresponding to the drawing points so formed as to be arranged in the scanning direction in time series is stored. The drawing point data stored in the storage means is sequentially read in the direction where the addresses are continuous. From the read drawing point data, drawing point data included in the same frame data is acquired and frame data is created.
