Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to improve coding efficiency of moving images. In intra and inter prediction processing, by performing different coding tree division for luminance and color difference, it is possible to set a transformation size to be small for a luminance having a large pixel value change, and to set the transformation size to be large for a color difference having a small pixel value change, thereby making it possible to improve coding efficiency. Further, using independent coding trees even for inter prediction makes it possible, with regard to color difference, to refer not only to color difference adjacent blocks, but also to refer to luminance prediction parameter information.
