Abstract:
An image decoding device (31) that comprises: a CT information decoding unit (10) that decodes a restriction flag that indicates whether to restrict the decoding of a prediction unit in different coding trees; and a CU decoding unit (20) that, when the restriction flag indicates to restrict the decoding of the prediction unit, decodes the prediction unit at a coding node that decodes first in the coding tree and does not decode the prediction unit at other coding nodes. The present invention makes it possible to reduce PU coding volume and the complexity of image coding/decoding while maintaining highly flexible partitioning by means of CT partitioning (QT partitioning and BT partitioning).
