Abstract:
An image decoding method according to an embodiment of the present invention is an image decoding method for an image decoding device and includes: a step for determining the current block for decoding coding units obtained by dividing a picture of an image or a dividing area in stages into a quad tree structure, a binary tree structure, or a ternary tree structure so that the picture is divided into a plurality of coding units which are the basic units on which inter prediction or intra prediction is performed; a step for compiling a tracing motion information prediction list according to surrounding block information that is already temporally or spatially decoded in association with the current block; a step for compiling a motion information prediction candidate list for motion information prediction for the current block; and a step for performing motion information prediction decoding on the current block by using at least one among the tracing motion information prediction list and the motion information prediction candidate list.
