Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present invention are an image detection method and device. The image detection method comprises: acquiring an image to be detected, extracting maximally stable extremal regions (MSERs) from the image to be detected, wherein the MSERs are connected regions; and filtering the MSERs to obtain a text region in the image to be detected. A text region in an image to be detected is obtained by extracting MSERs from the image to be detected, extracting the MSERs as candidate regions using a mode of dividing connected regions, and then filtering and screening the extracted MSERs. The region division is beneficial to reducing the amount of calculation and improving the efficiency of detection. At the same time, extracting MSERs may reduce the interference of an image background and may improve the accuracy of detecting images which have a complex background.
