Abstract:
An image display device according to the present disclosure comprises: an imaging unit which images the periphery of a vehicle; a gazing point detection unit which detects the position of a gazing point of an observer sitting on a seat of the vehicle; an image display unit which is disposed in a shielding unit that shields the observer from a vehicle-outside field of view ; an image data generation unit which generates, on the basis of imaged data output from the imaging unit, image data of an image corresponding to the vehicle-outside field of view of the observer shielded by the shielding unit; and a display device which displays the image data on the image display unit. The imaging unit changes the resolution of the imaging unit on the basis of the position of the gazing point.
