Abstract:
In an image display device (1) provided with a projecting device for inputting
an image signal to project image light and a prism for guiding the image light and
reflecting the same to an eye of a user, the prism (150) has a first plane (152) which
is perpendicular to a viewing direction of a user (50) and to which outside light
(Z1) is incident, a second plane (154) from which the outside light incident from
the first plane (152) is projected to the eye of the user (50) and a protruding portion
(158) which is defined on a side of the second plane (154) to guide the image light
(Z2) projected from the projecting device (100).
