Abstract:
There is generated a predicted image obtained by: applying an intra-predicted image obtained by an intra-prediction for some regions in a to-be-encoded block included in an image; and applying an inter-precited image obtained by an inter-prediction for the other regions of the block different from those some regions thereof. Then, a predicted error that is the difference between the generated predicted image and the block is derived. The derived predicted error is then frequency-converted, thereby deriving a conversion coefficient, which is then quantized by use of a quantization matrix, thereby deriving a quantization coefficient, which is then encoded.
