Abstract:
Provided is an image encoding device comprising: a classification unit which, from a target image that is to be processed, classifies a subject in the target image with subjects of the same type; a three-dimensional information acquisition unit which, on the basis of images of a plurality of subjects classified as being subjects of the same type by the classification unit, acquires information representing the three-dimensional shape of the subject; a state parameter acquisition unit which, for each subject, acquires a state parameter that is information indicating posture and position in the three-dimensional space of the target image; and an encoding unit which generates encoding data that includes information indicating the three-dimensional shape, the state parameter for each subject, and, a background image which is the image portion, of the target image, in which the subject does not appear.
