Abstract:
The present invention realizes an inkjet printing apparatus in which conveying speed can be changed so as to minimize any decrease in printing quality when it is necessary to change the conveying speed of printing paper. The inkjet printing apparatus is provided with a speed-change condition determination unit (141) that determines a speed change rate (amount of change in conveying speed per unit time) and a post-speed-change conveying speed in consideration of the state of ink supply from an ink supply unit (29) to a printing unit (24) and/or the state of a drying unit (25) when it is necessary to change the conveying speed of the printing paper. A conveying control unit (142) controls the actions of a conveying unit (28) in accordance with the speed change rate and the post-speed-change conveying speed determined by the speed-change condition determination unit (141).
