Abstract:
This image formation device comprises: an image formation unit 10 that forms an image on a sheet; a first rotation body 100; a second rotation body 101 that, in cooperation with the first rotation body, forms a nip part N by which the image formed by the image formation unit is fixed to the sheet; a pressurization mechanism 112, 113 that pressurizes the first rotation body toward the second rotation body; a movement mechanism 120 that moves the pressurization mechanism so that the pressurization mechanism can take a first position allowing the nip part to be formed by the first rotation body and the second rotation body, and a second position allowing the first rotation body and the second rotation body to be separated; and a control unit 800 that controls the operation of the movement mechanism, and further comprises a manual manipulation unit 831 capable of conducting a control mode in which a pressure release operation is performed such that the pressurization mechanism shifts from the first position to the second position after a predetermined time has passed since the termination of execution of an image formation job, and capable of selection setting as to whether or not to conduct the control mode.
