Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to accurately position a development roller with respect to a photoconductor drum when a development cartridge moves from a separation position to a contact position in a state where a drum cartridge and the development cartridge are attached to a body housing, and a cover is closed. This image formation device is provided with: a body housing 2; a drum cartridge 40 that has a photoconductor drum 41 rotatable about a first axis extending in a first direction, and is attachable to and detachable from the body housing 2 in the first direction; a development cartridge 50 that has a development roller 51 and a roller 52 and is attachable to and detachable from the body housing 2 in the first direction; and a cover that opens and closes an opening of the body housing 2. When the cover is opened, the development cartridge 50 is located at a first separation position at which the development roller 51 and the roller 52 are separated from the photoconductor drum 41. When the cover is closed, the development cartridge 50 moves from the first separation position to a first contact position at which the development roller 51 and the roller 52 are brought into contact with the photoconductor drum 41.
