Abstract:
An image forming device 10 is provided with an image data generating unit 401 which outputs image data to an exposure head 106 in synchronism with a clock signal, a clock generating unit 422 which generates the clock signal, a synchronization signal generating unit 406 which generates a line synchronization signal for one line corresponding to the resolution, in a direction of rotation, of a photosensitive drum 102, and a control board 415 which controls the period of the clock signal and the period of the synchronization signal in accordance with a magnification, in the direction of rotation of the photosensitive drum 102, of an image to be output, wherein, when changing the magnification in the direction of rotation, the control board 415 controls the period of the line synchronization signal in accordance with the magnification, fixes the period of the clock signal irrespective of the magnification, and controls an amount of light of a light emitting element in accordance with the magnification, thereby adjusting the magnification in a sub-scanning direction while suppressing an impact on the density of the image data.
