Abstract:
Provided is an image forming method such that when another print medium is superimposed on a print medium on which a toner image has been formed and a fixing liquid has been applied, transfer of the toner to the other print medium can be suppressed while suppressing generation of strong odor of an organic solvent. The image forming method includes forming a toner image on a print medium by using a toner, applying a fixing liquid to the toner image, and fixing the toner image on the print medium. The toner comprises a toner particle including a binder resin containing a condensate of 2-propanediol, a linear diol which has 2 to 6 carbon atoms and is different from 2-propanediol, and a polycarboxylic acid. The fixing liquid includes an ester-based softener having a boiling point of 180°C or higher.
