Abstract:
There is a case that the length in a longitudinal direction of a sheet to be examined by an examination unit is longer than the length of a conveyance path between a branch position corresponding to the first branch path included in a plurality of branch paths and a reading position of a reading device. In this case, the sheet having been examined by the examination unit is not discharged to a loading unit corresponding to the first branch path, and is discharged to a loading unit corresponding to a branch path branching off from a main path at a branch position positioned downstream of a branch position corresponding to the first branch path. The branch position corresponding to the first branch path is a branch position at which the length of a conveyance path from the reading position is the shortest among branch positions corresponding to a plurality of branch paths, respectively.
