Abstract:
Provided is a technology that controls the operation of an image forming device for which a server manages printing. An image forming system 100 comprises an image forming device 1 and a server 4. The image forming device 1 comprises a main control unit 29 that operates according to a normal mode or a contract mode. In response to an operation mode change request R1 to change the main control unit 29 of the image forming device 1 to the contract mode, the server 4 implements a contract operation mode setting command transmission process S13 in which a contract mode setting command C1 is transmitted to the image forming device 1. Having received the contract mode setting command C1, the image forming device 1 sets the operation mode to the contract mode in response to the contract mode setting command C1.
