Abstract:
An image generation device and an image generation program make it possible to generate a satisfactory movie from stable images with a viewpoint fixed in the same direction. When a movie with the same viewpoint direction is generated on the basis of images captured using a camera (4), a control unit (12) causes the frames of the movie to become continuous by repeating a process of capturing a feature point present in an image, computing an amount of movement by aligning the feature point with the feature point in an image after a movement, and moving back the image by the amount of movement. The control unit (12), upon determining that the feature point is in a portion of an image periphery with large distortion, aligns the feature points after moving the image to a portion of the periphery with reduced distortion in the same viewpoint direction.
