Abstract:
The present invention provides high-quality images, engraved objects produced on the basis of said images, and the like. The invention is provided with: an image data acquisition step (S1) that acquires image data including pixel values for a plurality of coordinate positions on an X-Y coordinate plane that comprises an X-axis direction and a Y-axis direction that is perpendicular to the X-axis direction; a height acquisition step (S2) that acquires height information, the height information being related to the plurality of coordinate positions on the X-Y coordinate plane and indicating heights for a three-dimensional object; a parallel line group image generation step (S3) that generates a parallel line group image by arranging a plurality of parallel line groups on the X-Y coordinate plane; a deformed parallel line group image generation step (S4) that generates a deformed parallel line group image in which the positions of the parallel line groups are moved in the Y-axis direction at each of the coordinate positions on the basis of the heights that correspond to said coordinate positions; and a binary image generation step (S5) that generates a binary image in which the widths of the parallel line groups at each of the coordinate positions are altered on the basis of the pixel values for the coordinate positions included in the image data acquired in the image data acquisition step.
