Abstract:
Disclosed is an image imaging device which is capable of obtaining a three-dimensional image in either a vertical or horizontal position. The image imaging device is provided with two imaging elements (100, 101), and an image processing unit (102) which uses the images imaged by the imaging elements to generate a three-dimensional image. The image processing unit (102) calculates the parallax between a first and a second image, imaged by the imaging elements (100, 101), and uses the first image to generate an estimated image having parallax in the direction orthogonal to the arrangement direction of the imaging elements (100, 101), relative to the first image, and generates a three-dimensional image from the calculated parallax and the estimated image.
