Abstract:
A polarizing plate (80) is arranged between an image generating unit (20) and a reflecting mirror (40) that reflects emitted light from the image generating unit toward a display region (102A) of a windshield (102). An opening (70a) for transmitting the emitted light is formed in a unit support member (70) that supports the image generating unit (20). In addition, the polarizing plate (80) is supported by the unit support member (70) on the periphery of the opening (70a). Through this configuration, the amount of sunlight S reflected by the reflecting mirror (40) that reaches the image generating unit (20) is reduced, and loss of function of the image generating unit (20) is effectively suppressed. This effect is also achieved while the size of the polarizing plate (80) is kept to a minimum.
