Abstract:
Provided are an image encoding/decoding method and device. An image decoding method according to the present disclosure is an image decoding method performed by an image decoding device. The method can comprise the steps of: deriving a prediction sample of a current block on the basis of motion information of the current block; determining whether or not bi-directional optical flow (BDOF) is to be applied to the current block; if the BDOF is to be applied to the current block, deriving a gradient with respect to a current sub-block in the current block; deriving a refined motion vector (vx, vy) with respect to the current sub-block on the basis of the gradient; deriving a BDOF offset on the basis of the gradient and refined motion vector; and deriving a refined prediction sample for the current block on the basis of the prediction sample of the current block and the BDOF offset.
