Abstract:
An image pickup apparatus, which has a constant-voltage driven stepping motor, comprises a PWM waveform generating part (4) that generates pulse signals to be applied to switching elements (Q1-Q4); and a PWM waveform deciding part (3) that decides a PWM waveform to be generated by the PWM waveform generating part (4). The PWM waveform deciding part (3) designates, in accordance with the designated rotational speed value and output torque value of the stepping motor, a duty ratio width that is a range extending from the minimum to the maximum of the duty ratio of the pulse signals. It is designed that the higher the rotational speed value is, the wider the duty ratio width is.
