Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an image pickup device having pixels with a wavelength limiting filter function in order to realize miniaturization and thinning of a camera, and an electronic device provided with the image pickup device. [Solution] The image pickup device comprises a back-illuminated pixel having a light receiving portion, a light shielding portion arranged between the light receiving portion and a light receiving portion adjacent to the light receiving portion, an opening through which light can be incident between the light shielding portions, and a region covering the opening, the image pickup device with a cutoff wavelength λ0 being realized by providing the pixel with a width λ1 of the opening of the pixel of λ1 = wavelength λ0 ÷ n1, where n1 is the refractive index of the region covering the opening.
