Abstract:
This image pickup device has a plurality of image pickup units, and at least one of the image pickup units is an image pickup unit that picks up an image at a first frame rate, and at least one of the image pickup units is an image pickup unit that picks up an image at a second frame rate that is higher than the first frame rate. The image pickup device also has: a moving body detection unit that detects a moving body on the basis of an image acquired by the image pickup unit that picks up an image at the second frame rate; and a distance detection unit that detects a distance to a subject on the basis of parallaxes of a plurality of images acquired by the image pickup units.
