Abstract:
This image processing device comprises an image processing unit, a detecting unit, a first memory, a communication unit, and a control unit. The image processing unit includes at least one among a printer and a scanner. The detecting unit detects biometric information about a user. The first memory stores first biometric information and authentication information in association with each user. The communication unit transmits, to an external authentication device, information based on the authentication information stored in the first memory and associated with the first biometric information that matches second biometric information about a first user detected by the detecting unit. The control unit controls the undoing of limitations imposed on a function related to at least one among the image processing unit and the communication unit on the basis of an authentication result received from the external authentication device.
