Abstract:
An image processing device includes a luminance fluctuation extraction unit, a
color difference fluctuation extraction unit, a conversion unit, and an addition unit.
The luminance fluctuation extraction unit extracts a local fluctuation component
(hereinafter, referred to a luminance fluctuation) from the luminance information
in the image data. The color difference fluctuation extraction unit extracts
a local fluctuation component (hereinafter, referred to a color difference
fluctuation) from the color difference information in the image data. The conversion
unit performs a weighted addition of the luminance fluctuation and the color
difference fluctuation to generate a pseudo massive feeling component of the
luminance. The addition unit adds the generated massive feeling component to
the luminance information. In the aforementioned configuration, the conversion unit
adjusts and modifies the weighting ratio of the weighted addition so that the
noise ratios between the color components contained in the massive feeling component
become identical.
