Abstract:

This image processing device comprises: a drive unit that is connected to an ultrasonic oscillator or an imaging element positioned inside a cylindrical member; and an image processing unit that sequentially generates two-dimensional images of an organ, a blood vessel or a medical instrument on the basis of information of the medical instrument, the organ or such acquired by the ultrasonic oscillator or the imaging element, and that generates a three-dimensional image of the medical instrument, the organ or the blood vessel on the basis of the two-dimensional images. The drive unit causes the ultrasonic oscillator or the imaging element to move along the cylindrical member. The image processing unit comprises a storage unit that stores position correspondence information and/or image correspondence information; and a control unit that determines, on the basis of the position correspondence information or the image correspondence information, a position within the three-dimensional image corresponding to the current position of the ultrasonic oscillator or the imaging element, and generates, in real-time, display information for recognizably displaying, within the three-dimensional image, the determined position within the three-dimensional image.
