Abstract:
A display device (10) is provided with an integrated control unit (31) capable of switching between at least a high-brightness mode and a brightness irregularity reduction priority mode in response to an input instruction, and an irregularity correction unit (36) that performs color irregularity correction on each pixel in both the high-brightness mode and the brightness irregularity reduction priority mode. In the brightness irregularity reduction priority mode, the irregularity correction unit (36) performs the color irregularity correction after uniformly performing, on each pixel, gradation limit processing in which a gradation value of image data is shifted to the low gradation side, thereby reducing the gradation value to the low gradation side even more so than in the high-brightness mode. As a result, image processing suitable for a variety of uses is achieved, regardless of changes in how the display device is used.
